Job Title: Planning and Logistics Coordinator

Are you a detail-oriented and highly organized individual with exceptional communication skills? Do you have experience in organizing large-scale logistics and scheduling plans in a large geographical area? We are seeking a Planning and Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Serco, a leading provider of prisoner escort custody services.

About the Role:

As a Planning and Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling vehicles to ensure the safe transport of custodies in line with the agreed service delivery. You will work closely with our crews and establishments to ensure custodies are transported on time and in a safe and secure manner. Using a number of IT applications, you will be responsible for monitoring the vehicles and responding to emergency alarms raised by crews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule vehicles to ensure efficient and safe transportation of custodies
  • Work closely with crews and establishments to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor vehicles and respond to emergency alarms
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to ensure safe and secure delivery of custodies

Requirements:

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized individual
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience in organizing large-scale logistics and scheduling plans in a large geographical area
  • Computer literate with ability to quickly assimilate large volumes of data/information

Security Clearance:

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 4, and all offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office. You will be required to obtain Ministry of Justice Enhanced Level 2 Vetting & Enhanced DBS with Child Barring.
