Job Title: Community Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Mental Health Nurse to join our Early Intervention in Psychosis service. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist assessments and evidence-based mental health interventions to individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, offering an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner to develop their skills and positively contribute to the team. The post involves working as a caseload holder with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis, providing specialist assessments and interventions, and contributing to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver specialist assessments and evidence-based mental health interventions to individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis
  • Work as a caseload holder with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions
  • Provide specialist consultation and liaison to colleagues
  • Responsible for the appropriate clinical risk assessment of Early Intervention service users
Person Specification
  • Sufficient experience at working at Band 6 or equivalent
  • Experience of having worked with young people who are experiencing or have been suspected of experiencing a first episode of psychosis
  • Knowledge of the philosophy around Early Intervention in psychosis
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to work assertively to engage service users
