Job Summary

Healthcare Assistant - Clinical

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant - Clinical to join our team at the Phoenix Health Group. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care and support to patients, working closely with our doctors and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, including taking a holistic approach to lifestyle advice on diet, smoking, alcohol intake, and exercise.
  • Undertake long-term condition health checks and liaise with relevant nurses to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Ensure awareness of statutory and local clinical protection procedures, including systems of referral, and be able to recognize signs and symptoms of child abuse.
  • Perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation according to current UK guidelines and obtain and document informed consent from patients.
  • Ensure infection control guidelines are maintained and confidentiality of information gained at work is preserved at all times.
  • Carry out other duties as required, commensurate with the skills and knowledge required by the post, and for which training has been provided.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge and experience of a HCA role in a primary care environment.
  • Use of clinical IT systems and competent user of Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent keyboard and computer skills, excellent communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to communicate confidently.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and excellent interpersonal skills.
