Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electrical and electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and install electrical and electro-mechanical plant and machinery in accordance with company standards and regulations.
  • Complete and comply with Milliken's Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Perform reactive fault finding and troubleshooting to resolve electrical and electro-mechanical issues in a safe and timely manner.
  • Interrogate Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) equipment, including Allen Bradley and Siemens systems.
  • Document all tasks and activities performed, including completion of relevant documentation and reporting of any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Team Leader and Coordinator to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Comply with Milliken's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Promote Lean thinking and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Utilize Milliken's Maintenance Planning System (MPS) to optimize operational excellence.
  • Contribute to the installation of new equipment and systems as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across various departments to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Utilize Milliken's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage maintenance work orders and activities.
Requirements:
  • 17th/18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • HNC/HND Electrical or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and components.
  • Understanding of PLC logic and fault finding, particularly Allen Bradley systems.
  • Familiarity with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), AC/DC, and Servo systems.
  • Knowledge of process control and industrial networks.
  • Able to read electrical schematic drawings and diagrams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with Agility CMMS or equivalent system.
  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
