Your new company is a leading manufacturer in the Building Materials and Construction industry, with a strong commitment to sustainability and a greener world. As an Electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fault-finding, planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  • Conducting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical maintenance jobs across the site
  • Maintaining a wide range of machinery, including Mixing Machines, Filling Machines, Packaging Machines, Heat Tunnels, Compressors, Conveyance Systems and more
  • Cross-skilling and upskill training - must be committed to learning and development
  • Inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS), records of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out
  • Work with suppliers on new equipment installation and modification
  • Carry out Preventative and Predictive Maintenance

Your role will be a day-based role, with 1 week in 4 being an afternoon shift.

Requirements:
  • Time Served - industry experience as a Maintenance Engineer, starting from Apprenticeship level is required for this role
  • Formal Engineering Qualification
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of ATEX rated environments, ideally experience within those ATEX rated environments
  • Familiar with Manufacturing Engineering practices and methods, i.e. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma etc.
  • Awareness and experience of hazardous environments
  • Proactive person with excellent decision-making and communication skills
