We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Care Support Worker to join our team at Libertatem Healthcare Group. Our client has a severe case of cerebral palsy requiring 2:1 care. Our client enjoys a variety of activities and has multiple therapy sessions, including hydrotherapy, so being able to drive and swim are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with personalised routines, inclusive of hoists, to ensure the client's comfort and well-being.
- Complete daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility, to promote independence.
- Administer medication and monitor health conditions, adhering to medical protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's conditions to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care, to demonstrate expertise.
- Ability to deal with challenging behaviours, ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature to provide high-quality care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances.
- Flexibility to work the specified hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Supportive and friendly working environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Opportunities for professional development and training, enhancing skills and knowledge.
- Regular supervisions and check-ins to ensure ongoing support and guidance.
- Both online and in-person training, catering to different learning styles.
An enhanced DBS check and full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client. You will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
