Sustainability Leadership Opportunity

Lantmännen Unibake is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Lead to drive our sustainability agenda. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will work closely with global stakeholders to deliver our global and local commitments.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding experience in change or project management and multi-level communications. You will be responsible for managing and driving the UK Sustainability priority agenda to deliver our global and local commitments and meet agreed targets.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of £65,000 per annum, plus benefits such as a contributory pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and drive the UK Sustainability priority agenda to deliver our global and local commitments and meet agreed targets
  • Coordinate workstreams in key sustainability areas: Climate (Carbon Reduction), Health and People
  • Support workstream leads to achieve set goals and ensure conformance to targets
  • Collaborate with internal and external communications teams to develop high-quality sustainability communications
  • Working with customers to support collaborative sustainability agendas supporting the right agendas with a commercial hat on
  • Support Marketing teams in linking sustainability commitments to brand execution
  • Maintain continuous dialogue with the central sustainability team on local priorities
  • Develop and manage the sustainability calendar of events and learning
  • Respond to customer requests for data and questionnaires
  • Develop relationships cross functionally to share expertise and facilitate cooperation
  • Become an expert in sustainability areas and stay informed through media, trade publications, and industry conferences
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a sustainability role, preferably within a corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of sustainability issues and trends
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to influence and guide senior leadership, suppliers and customers
  • Strong project management skills
  • Passion for sustainability and making a positive impact
