Principal Technical Safety Engineer

Wood Digital Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Principal Technical Safety Engineer to support our UK projects.

This is a hybrid role that can be based anywhere in the UK, with mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues as required.

Applicants must be able to pass the HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The successful candidate will support the implementation of UK critical infrastructure projects in line with company objectives, including continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, schedule, and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of UK critical infrastructure projects
  • Ensure compliance with company objectives and safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain technical safety expertise
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers
  • Contribute to the development of company policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject
  • Proven experience as a technical safety engineer
  • Strong technical background and expertise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive approach and strong interpersonal skills
