Therapist for Children and Young People with Speech and Language Needs

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Specialist, you will provide a clinical and advisory Speech and Language Therapy service to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Learning Disabilities (LD).
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and therapy services to children and young people with speech and language needs, including those with complex communication needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy interventions, monitoring and reviewing progress and making modifications as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including class teachers, learning support assistants, and other professionals to provide an integrated care pathway.
- Support parents, clients, and other professionals in all issues related to client management, with access to supervision from senior therapists.
- Participate in the coordination, development, and delivery of training programs and information for school staff, parents, and carers, and colleagues in health and education.
- HCPC Registration
- Royal College of Speech & Language Therapy Registration
- Speech & Language Therapy Degree
- Experience of working alongside children and young people who require the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
- Experience of working alongside children and young people with learning disabilities
