Airfield Mobility Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Airfield Mobility Assistant to join our team at ABM UK.
Salary: £13.67 per hour
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the Company's specialist vehicles on the airfield to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs) from the aircraft to the terminal building or from the terminal building to the aircraft.
You will also be required to assist PRMs onto the aircraft, to their seat or into the ABM vehicles or terminal buildings which involves passenger and manual handling techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete Vehicle Check Sheet: Maintain the operational reliability of the vehicle, reporting any vehicle defaults in line with the Vehicle Inspection procedure.
- Safe Driving Practices: Drive the Company vehicles ensuring that the vehicle is safe and secure at all times.
- Airside Driving: Operate the vehicle safely within close proximity to the aircraft using all safety systems of the vehicle.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle at all times.
- Patient Transfer: Deliver or collect the passengers at the aircraft door and assist with the transfer into their seat or wheelchair through safe manual handling techniques.
- Customer Care: Complete Customer Care Agent duties within the terminal when demand requires, this may include escorting passengers through the terminal/security and boarding flights or meeting arriving flights and assisting PRMs through to baggage reclaim.
- Communication: Ensure that the Allocator is updated on progress of jobs at all times using PDA's and Radio.
- Airport Regulations: Observe all Bristol airport airside driving requirements.
Requirements:
- Driving License: Full clean UK driving license with D1.
- Experience: Experience in a similar role or driving larger vehicles would be an advantage.
