Process Controls Specialist

Join a leading process manufacturing organisation as a Process Controls Specialist on an interim basis for an initial 12-month contract. The role involves overseeing the maintenance and upgrade of existing control systems and processes, supporting Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in the development and programming of control sequences, and providing technical expertise in support of capital projects and process evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Process Improvement and Process Engineering teams in the development and programming of control sequences.
  • Utilize standards developed for programming of DCS, ESD, and SCADA HMI packages.
  • Assist with operational implementation of process control and infrastructure modifications and upgrades.
  • Provide technical expertise in support of capital projects and process evaluation.

Requirements:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical/Controls (EC&I) or similar.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience in Process Control and Safety Shutdown hardware, software, and configuration.
  • Experience within a continuous manufacturing process environment (ideally a top-tier COMAH site) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving techniques using Process Control systems and Data Historian.
  • Experience in communication systems such as OPC, Modbus, and ethernet networking would be advantageous.
