About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled support assistant to join our team at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive switchboard service to the health board, handling internal and external calls, and operating the internal paging system.


Main Duties


The main duties of the job include:



  • Providing a high-quality switchboard service to the health board, answering internal and external calls, and responding to queries.
  • Operating the internal paging system, contacting staff for both internal and external calls, and bleeping long-range pagers with numeric and verbal information.
  • Carrying out emergency procedures, including cardiac arrest, fire, major incident, and personal attack, and maintaining records according to standing instructions and operational procedures.
  • Replacing batteries for internal paging receivers, arranging replacements if faulty, and providing instructions on correct usage.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Welsh language is essential for this post.
  • A basic salary of £20,000 - £22,000 per annum, depending on experience.
