We are seeking a skilled Automotive Systems Specialist to join our team at careers4a - Jobboard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete life cycle of products, from conception to release, delivering innovative solutions to clients across the Automotive Industry Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and identify current and future needs of Automotive customers, proposing innovative solutions to requirements
  • Manage and lead all aspects of the product life cycle, from conception through to release, working to deadlines and adapting plans as necessary
  • Negotiate and agree actions and time scales for multiple, concurrent engineering projects with other project team members
  • Communicate with the development and test teams and report back to management on product / project status
  • Create and maintain detailed and accurate specifications that allow efficient development and testing of new products and features
  • Complete user acceptance testing and provide feedback to the development teams
  • Provide expert help and guidance to the first line customer support team and other areas of the business as required
  • Provide pre-sales advice to customers and distributors, helping with quotations and on-site customer demonstrations and training

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in the Automotive sector, ideally within a Vehicle Test Environment
  • Hold an Automotive Engineering Degree (HND may be considered with additional relevant experience within Vehicle Testing)
  • Experience of collecting and analysing test data, ideally from moving vehicles
  • Experience in reading and understanding technical documentation such as Regulations, specifications and product data sheets/manuals
  • Ability to understand and solve sometimes complex engineering problems
  • A full, clean Driver's licence
