Our client is a leading manufacturing business in Wem, with a strong reputation for producing high-quality products. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team and contribute to the success of the production facility.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating all equipment failures, recommending and implementing improvements, and participating in regular reviews with the Engineering & Manufacturing team. You will also carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks, provide minimal downtime to Production, and install & set up new areas within Production as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience within the industry
  • Familiarity with motors, conveyors, chains, and robots
  • Ability to work effectively with external contractors

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop the Planned maintenance system, ensuring preventative maintenance tasks are maximised, and focus on Continuous Improvement. A high level of Health & Safety awareness is essential for this role.
