Empowering Learning is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team at a specialist SEND school in Grantham.
About the RoleThis is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the class teacher and teaching assistants in daily classroom activities.
- Assist students during lessons and school activities.
- Provide care and support for students during lunch and break times.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans based on student needs.
- Help students with daily care requirements.
- Work with students who have varying special educational needs, including non-verbal pupils.
- Deliver one-on-one or small group activities.
- Collect and record evidence of student progress.
- Provide physical management and care for students.
- Free safeguarding training and certification.
- Dedicated consultant support for any questions or concerns.
- CV writing assistance.
- Fast compliance services.
- 150 Referral Scheme.
- Access to professional development workshops and courses.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a school setting.
- Ability to work with students who have high-level needs.
- Strong organisational skills and effective communication.
- Desire to inspire and support children with SEND.
Salary Range:
£27,500 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
