About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional to join our dedicated Community Services team at St Michael's Hospice as a Senior Health Care Assistant.

In this role, you will provide personalized, holistic palliative care to patients and their families in their own homes, helping to enhance their quality of life during challenging times.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized care based on detailed care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and maintain patient dignity.
  • Participate in clinical assessments and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Assist in the induction and mentoring of new team members.

Requirements

  • Experience of delivering hands-on care for people requiring palliative care.
  • Experience of dealing with challenging situations.
  • NVQ Level 3 in care or equivalent.
