Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Mental Health, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and comprehensive assessment, interventions, and treatment to service users and their families/carers.
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Provide clinical leadership to the team, including supervision and support to Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Non-Medical Prescribers.
- Participate in postgraduate and undergraduate education for junior doctors and medical students.
- Medical Degree and MRC Psych or equivalent.
- Eligibility for inclusion on the specialist register (senior trainees must be within six months of CCT at the point of interview).
- Experience in General Adult Psychiatry at ST 4-6 level or equivalent senior level in a variety of settings, including in-patient and community.
- Awareness of current guidelines for the assessment and treatment of mental disorder.
- Eligibility for Approved Clinician status and knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act.
