Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical leadership and clinical expertise to our community mental health services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to our community mental health teams, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care to our service users.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide timely interventions to service users presenting with complex mental health needs.
- Collaborate with local partners, including primary care networks, to ensure seamless care pathways and effective service delivery.
- Supervise and support junior doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, and non-medical prescribers to ensure high-quality care and professional development.
- Eligible for inclusion on the specialist register (senior trainees must be within six months of CCT at the point of interview).
- Experience in General Adult Psychiatry at ST 4-6 level or equivalent senior level in a variety of settings, including in-patient and community.
- Awareness of current guidelines for the assessment and treatment of mental disorder.
- Eligibility for Approved Clinician status and knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act.
