About the Role: As an HR & Recruitment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in owning the internal recruitment process and supporting the HR Manager, ensuring their HR services are consistently delivered to a diverse workforce. Your meticulous attention to detail will help maintain high standards in policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Recruitment Coordination:

  • Secure internal approval for vacancies and craft job descriptions that accurately reflect the company's needs.
  • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and engage with internal and external candidates to ensure a diverse pool of applicants.
  • Coordinate interviews, provide feedback, and manage outcomes to ensure a seamless hiring process.
  • Extend job offers, gather onboarding documentation, and conduct reference checks to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

HR Support:

  • Deliver on-site induction training for new hires to ensure a comprehensive understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee training and development initiatives to enhance staff qualifications and skills.
  • Administer the Apprenticeship Levy Fund to support early-stage apprenticeships and enhance staff qualifications.
  • Foster relationships with training providers to ensure access to high-quality training programs.
  • Handle leaver and retirement processes to ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and implement necessary policy changes to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance meetings to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • A professional HR qualification (CIPD preferred) and experience in internal HR and recruitment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems to efficiently manage recruitment and HR processes.

Additional Information:

This role is primarily office-based with some flexibility after the initial three-month period. Own transport is essential due to the remote office location and to travel to other sites occasionally.
