Job Title: Complex Projects Lead - Effects and Vulnerability

MBDA UK Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Complex Projects Lead to join our Effects and Vulnerability team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of complex technical projects, which are deemed critical to the success of emerging Laser DEW technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead small teams across several contracts, ranging from internally funded research and development to industry-partnered studies and specific tasks on the high-profile DragonFire MDC project.
  • Interface with customers to elicit and translate customer requirements into concrete activities.
  • Develop and manage budgets within a team environment.
  • Develop individuals and high-performing teams.
  • Manage bidding work and simplify complex system interactions.
Requirements:
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering on time, cost, and quality.
  • Appreciation of "trading requirements".
  • Ability to manage budgets within a team environment.
  • Ability to develop individuals and high-performing teams.
  • Appreciation of bidding work.
  • Ability to simplify and codify complex system interactions.
Desirable Skills:
  • Complex system design in a deeply technical environment.
  • Translating tacit customer requirements into concrete activities.
  • Experience with Ansys Fluent, COMSOL, or similar multiphysics tools.
  • Matlab/Simulink.
