Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at a prestigious medical manufacturer based in Plymouth.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To support the General Manager - Quality in developing and implementing quality procedures, standards, and specifications, ensuring their effective implementation and maintenance.
  2. To drive the importance of Quality and a collaborative culture within the team across the network.
  3. To work collaboratively with departments to provide guidance and leadership to ensure all products meet the highest quality and reliability standards.
  4. To review and approve technical/engineering documentation, ensuring adherence to processes and timelines.
  5. To lead and manage customer complaints, ensuring all processes are followed and documentation is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  6. To establish quality requirements from external suppliers, working with other departments as necessary.
  7. To implement and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
  8. To implement and work to all applicable Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements as stipulated within the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
  9. To effectively manage direct reports on employee relation topics, including performance, training, recruitment, formal meetings, engagement, and communication.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in a Quality Systems and/or Engineering role within an Electro-Mechanical or Electronics or Sterile Medical Devices Manufacturing environment.
  2. Minimum of five years quality management experience ideally within a medical device manufacturing facility.
  3. Thorough understanding of Quality approaches & techniques relating to the Manufacturing Business.
  4. Lead audit experience in regulatory body inspections.
  5. Comprehensive Knowledge of formal Quality Systems.
