Job Title: Nurse Registered Manager - Specialist School

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nurse Registered Manager to lead our Specialist School in Halifax. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the service, maintaining high standards of care, and promoting the well-being of our young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Residential Home and ensure the efficient operation of the service in accordance with relevant legislation, procedures, and policies.
  • Assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people, and identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure that individual needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, paying particular attention to Health and Safety legislation and environmental health needs.
  • Work proactively with monitoring bodies to ensure that services are developing beyond set standards.
Requirements:
  • DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People/Adult Management or a willingness to work towards this.
  • Qualification in Nursing (Adult or Children) and relevant NMC PIN (RMN or RNLD).
  • Proven experience at Senior level in a Residential Home for adults/young people.
  • Able to demonstrate advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC fundamental working standards and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of the National Care Standards, Care Act, and Regulations.
