About the Role

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced registered nurse to join our team in the Oncology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert nursing care to patients with haematological and oncological conditions
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment

About the Team

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England, providing a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex. Person Specification

  • Teaching/Mentorship qualification (e.g. ENB 998 or equivalent)
  • Degree or Diploma
  • NMC Registration
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in haematology and/or oncology
  • Ability to manage workload and delegate to others
  • Demonstrate ability to manage or lead a nursing team effectively
  • IV cannulation & venepuncture skills
