As a Senior Safeguarding Officer, you will play a vital role in providing pastoral support to students, developing personal resilience strategies, and acting as a deputy to the Safeguarding Manager.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality pastoral support to an identified caseload of students, addressing their individual needs and concerns.
- Act as a senior member of the Safeguarding Team, deputising for the Safeguarding Manager when required, and providing guidance to staff on safeguarding matters.
- Maintain accurate records of student activities and interventions, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support staff by acting as a primary contact point for concerns about students, providing guidance and advice on safeguarding best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with the Safeguarding Team to allocate safeguarding referrals, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Safeguarding or a related field.
- Significant experience working in safeguarding, child protection, youth work, social services, or counselling.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of referral systems and safeguarding best practices.
