Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic thinking construction Procurement Manager to work on the biggest and best projects in our healthcare sector.

About the Role: As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of project procurement objectives and requirements. You will work on the procurement strategy with the Senior Procurement Manager and be accountable for the procurement process of subcontractors, materials, plant and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide market intelligence, cost advice, and supply chain performance management and feedback.
  • Support a team of procurement professionals, including training & development, staff appraisals, retention & reward, and recruitment.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the procurement process of subcontractors, materials, plant and services.
  • Develop professional, robust, and effective working relationships with suppliers, sub-contractors, and service providers.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Negotiation skills.
  • Legal & contracting law.
  • Risk & opportunity management.
  • Project procurement strategy.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working within the construction industry or similar.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the interfaces and relationships that exist.
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Delivering robust procurement strategies.
  • A measured approach to decision making and the ability to ensure best value procurement.
