Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated personal care assistant to support an individual with cerebral palsy. The successful candidate will provide assistance with daily living tasks, mobility, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with mobility, including walking and transfers
  • Encourage participation in leisure activities, such as football and pool
  • Assist with exercises to maintain muscle health
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Drive the individual to appointments and outings

Requirements:

  • Experience working with individuals with cerebral palsy or similar disabilities
  • Valid DBS check
  • Ability to drive and transport the individual
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
