The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our MSK service as a Specialist Physiotherapist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge. They will also have experience in supervising and educating junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students within the speciality.

As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing a specialized resource to other healthcare staff, patients, and carers. You will also be actively involved in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.

What We're Looking For
  • Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
  • Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively, and efficiently
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice
  • Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery
  • Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality, including study days/courses/postgraduate qualification
  • Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
  • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

  • Membership of relevant special interest group
  • Multi-disciplinary working
  • Research and audit
  • Experience or interest in specialist area as detailed in role profile for this post
Contract Type and Location

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37 hours per week. The role will be based in Physiotherapy within NHS Lanarkshire Wide.
