Job Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join our team at the St Bartholomew's site. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services within the fertility unit.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all referrals are booked according to the Trust Patient Access Policy
  • Maximising the utilisation of clinics and theatre resources to provide a good patient experience
  • Understanding and implementing CCG funding elements to ensure patients are placed on the correct patient pathway
  • Providing timely and effective operational service management support to the highest possible clinical and performance standards

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous managerial experience in a large and complex organisation, preferably within the NHS
  • Experience of managing performance against RTT targets
  • Experience of managing financial budgets
  • Education to degree level or relevant level of skills and experience
  • Recognised management qualification or equivalent experience
