Telehandler Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telehandler to join our team at Vistry Group. As a Telehandler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unload, store, secure, and distribute materials using a forklift truck.
  • Assist the site team in maintaining site safety and security, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Inspect and maintain forklift trucks daily/weekly, ensuring records are complete and the Site Manager is informed of any defects.
  • Erect and maintain site safety signage, monitor traffic and pedestrian segregation, and report deficiencies.
  • Secure hazards each evening, provide basic first aid if required, and minimize loss or damage to materials.
  • Check and receive material deliveries, ensure materials are protected, and maintain site presentation.
  • Distribute tipping skips, ensure building areas are secure, and report any issues to the Site Manager.
  • Provide cover for the Site Manager, prioritizing health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Requirements:
  • Trained Plant Operator CPCS Card - Telescopic Handler - All sizes Exec 360 Slew - Category A17 Endorsement C.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Materials Controller/Forklift Operator or trades person.
  • Excellent time keeping and attendance record, ability to work effectively and safely under pressure.
  • Customer-focused, able to multitask, and committed to work as required to meet business needs.
