Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced social worker to join our Front Door team at North Somerset Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to contacts and making swift decisions on directions that will best help our children and families.
This role requires workers to be able to respond to quickly changing circumstances and develop good working partnerships with our colleagues in Health, Education, and the Police. We are committed to using a Trauma-Informed approach and are looking for an individual who is passionate about children, young people, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to contacts and make decisions on directions that will best help our children and families
- Develop good working partnerships with colleagues in Health, Education, and the Police
- Use a Trauma-Informed approach in your work
- Work with children, young people, and their families to provide child-centred social work practice

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registered as a social worker with Social Work England
- Social Work Qualification, ie Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work
- Achieved or commitment to study for a specialist PQ award or equivalent
- Provide child-centred social work practice based upon social work value principles enshrined Social Work England's code of practice
