Job Summary:

QED Legal is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join their in-house legal team as an In-House Legal Counsel / Commercial Lawyer. This is a challenging and varied role that involves drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day commercial advice to all departments within the business, including areas such as data protection, corporate, and some disputes.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements, ensuring they meet the company's needs and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Advise and assist the business on a wide range of other legal matters, including corporate, commercial litigation, employment, and construction.
  • Work closely with the business to identify and mitigate potential legal risks, ensuring the company's interests are protected.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.

Requirements:

  • UK qualified solicitor with strong academics ranging from newly qualified to 4 years PQE.
  • Strong grounding in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate legal issues in a business-friendly way.
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • In-house experience is desirable, but not essential.
