Steer Automotive Group is a leading automotive accident repair provider dedicated to offering exceptional services to our valued customers.


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our service department operates smoothly and efficiently. This will involve managing inventory, liaising with suppliers, and providing support to our technicians.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Managing the allocation of parts into stock and booking parts onto the system to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Chasing parts orders to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays for the wider bodyshop team.
  • Liaising with suppliers to request delivery dates and co-ordinate returns for credit.
  • Contribution to managing and maintaining our supplier relationships.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized Parts Department.

About You


We are looking for an exceptional candidate with:



  • Previous experience working in a purchasing role, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Commercially astute with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and external suppliers.

Estimated salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience).
