Academic Mentor Opportunity in Havering

Ribbons and Reeves is seeking a dedicated Academic Mentor to support students in Havering. This role involves providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to students, helping to boost progress and attainment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality academic support to students, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  3. Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans to promote student progress and attainment.
  4. Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these.
  5. Provide regular feedback and guidance to students, helping them to set and achieve their academic goals.

Requirements:

  • A 1:1 degree from a leading UK university.
  • A*/A's at A-Level.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting students to achieve their full potential.
