At Ecruit, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative (Yard Technician) to join our team in Aylesham, Kent.

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to support the smooth running of our yard operations. As a Maintenance Operative (Yard Technician), you will be responsible for managing yard operations, including loading/unloading and organizing vehicles, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment, assisting with general maintenance, repairs, and basic engineering tasks, operating machinery and vehicles in the yard, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, supporting the team with various yard duties, presenting vehicles for MOT inspections, traveling to collect parts and take drivers when required, and providing assistance to engineers and mechanics as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Assisting with vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Operating yard equipment and vehicles safely
  • Supporting the team with yard duties
  • Presenting vehicles for MOT inspections
  • Traveling to collect parts and transport drivers
  • Providing assistance to engineers and mechanics
