About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Casual Rehabilitation Officer to join our team at Myos House, a unique Extra Care Housing facility for individuals living with Dementia. As a key member of our community rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents to maintain their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized support plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to residents to optimize their daily living skills and maintain their confidence.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of community-based rehabilitation programs.
  • Participate in on-call shifts to provide emergency support and respond to complex situations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously in complex situations. You will also require a solution-focused approach, with a passion for supporting individuals with Dementia to live independently.

We offer comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in this role, including medication management and moving and handling techniques.
