Clinical Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for leading and monitoring the performance and care delivery of the staff in the MINT team, ensuring local professional leadership.
You will participate in the review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to the area and support and implement changes to practice. Additionally, you will liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice, undertake audit activity, and supervise other staff in the service area/care group.
The post holder will also be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care for a small and defined caseload.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and lead team functioning, with a particular focus on management of referrals, delivery of care, performance monitoring, and management of the staff team.
- Provide line management and supervision of staff.
- Deliver a service within the agreed financial envelope, ensuring maximum value in terms of clinical and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure a culture of effective risk management is present in the team.
- Ensure the team functions in line with the care group core business.
- Respond to Safeguarding Adults and Safeguarding Children investigations as appropriate.
- Respond promptly to complaints.

We provide high secure services for patients from South of England and low and medium secure services across eight London boroughs. The Trust also provides mental and physical healthcare in three London boroughs (Ealing, Hounslow, and Hammersmith & Fulham).
The Trust is rated as 'Good' overall by the Care Quality Commission. Forensic services are rated as 'Outstanding'.
Person Specification- Registered Nurse, (mental health) appropriate to the job role.
- Evidence of post-registration training in relevant service area.
- Degree/diploma level supplemented by specialist qualification, training, experience, courses to masters level equivalent relevant to the care group.
- Able to manage a caseload of people with complex mental health needs.
- Awareness of Trust policies and service specification.
- To understand performance reports and how they relate to the team.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with staff, patients, families, carers, and professionals.
- Able to effectively manage risk.
