Quality Advisor Job Description

Bilfinger UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled Quality Advisor to join their team. As a Quality Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide quality support to projects, including quality assurance, quality control, and audit processes.
  • Ensure quality systems are established and managed across projects, and communicated to stakeholders.
  • Proactively promote 'right first time' methodology to reduce non-conformances within the project environment.
  • Collaborate with the HSE team to deliver safety awareness at site level and apply quality techniques to non-conformances.
  • Conduct internal and external audits, and produce reports on audit outcomes.
  • Prepare and review quality plans, inspection and test plans, and supporting QA documentation.
  • Liaise with project quality control inspectors to ensure compliance with hold points and witness points.
  • Validate the implementation and effectiveness of project corrective actions.
  • Monitor and review quality performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Oversee quality operations to ensure adherence to documentation and specifications.
  • Ensure subcontractors and suppliers conform to company and project requirements.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to prepare and submit quality requirements and supporting documentation.
  • Implement quality activities at various sites.
  • Read, understand, and implement project contractual requirements regarding quality.
  • Attend project-related meetings.
  • Liaise with the procurement team regarding quality requirements at tendering stages.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful and useful work instructions and procedures.
  • Liaise with client QA departments to ensure transparency and open communication.
  • Promote and encourage a continuous improvement philosophy.
Requirements:
  • Good engineering and QA/QC background.
  • CQI membership or accreditation.
  • Recognised and current internal auditor qualification.
  • Full understanding of how to deliver internal audits of management systems.
  • Development of project QA documentation and review of supplier QA documentation.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of quality management systems in a regulated environment.
  • Problem resolution skills, including the ability to articulate the use of resolution tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoring techniques.
  • Ability to understand and interpret ISO management system standards, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
  • Good understanding of ISO 45001 and 14001.
  • +5 years' experience working in a highly regulated industry.
  • Experience or qualification in one or more of the following special processes: NDT, heat treatment, surface treatment, dimensional verification.
  • Pipework, steelwork, and insulation knowledge.
  • Detailed knowledge of related specifications (API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, PED, etc.).
  • Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Travel to multiple sites.
