Main Job Responsibilities

This role is for a Maintenance Coordinator at a care home operated by Avery Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff, ensuring the smooth running of the facilities and maintaining a good standard of general upkeep for the building.

Key Duties
  • Resolving any home maintenance concerns promptly, using a working knowledge of building systems and related regulatory requirements.
  • Engaging with approved contractors as needed and sourcing alternative suppliers as necessary.
  • Covering all emergencies relating to the fabric of the home or systems contained within the building.
  • Direct line management of the Maintenance Assistant, including day-to-day supervision, objective setting and annual reviews, approval of hours, absence management, and holiday authorization.
About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as an understanding of safety and fire safety systems. They will also have the ability to make responsible choices and decisions and act in a resident's best interest.
