Job Title: Injection Moulding Tool Setter

At International Automotive Components, we are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Tool Setter to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection moulding equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the timely completion of tool changes and production runs.
  • Prepare tools and equipment for production, including setting up robot heads and loading programmes.
  • Operate cranes to sling and lift tools, and set up tools in presses according to production requirements.
  • Start and stop injection moulding presses, and present first-off parts to the quality department for inspection.
  • Adhere to IAC quality and work procedures, and report any faults or issues to the tool-room or maintenance team.
  • Accurately complete job packs and record deviations, and participate in SMED activities to improve process efficiency.
  • Work to and report KPI targets and results, including tool change times and OEE data.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 in Injection Moulding and Tool Setting, or equivalent experience.
  • Overhead crane license, and numerate and literate to minimum O Level / GCSE 'C'.
  • Experience with injection moulding, robots, and processes such as gas injection, low pressure injection, foil moulding, and in-mould cloth.
  • Experience of tool setting in a fast-paced plastic injection moulding environment, and preferably in an automotive environment.
