**Lead Setter, Injection Moulding**

**3-shift rotation (1400-2200 / 2200-0600 / 0600-1400)**

Overview
- To control daily setting activities and maintain service to Production of tool changes and first offs in line with On Time in Full (OTIF) principles.

Key Responsibilities
- Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with Health, Safety and Environmental standards, whilst also ensuring hazards/incidents are reported within shift they occur.
- Understanding the shift KPI objectives, drive them and identify areas for improvement.
- Being the lead on the shift working as part of a team to methodically solve problems that arise during tool changes.
- Ensuring that Tool Setters are present for First Off parts after machine start up for Quality inspection.
- Leading the shifts Setters team to manage task and individual performance.
- Taking ownership for ensuring production meets set targets and driving improvements in OEE, Scrap Reduction, and Real Time issues that result in waste.
- Monitor job cycle times and ensure they are set to standard.
- Maintain SMED database (or equivalent) and highlight downtime, quality complaints and set-up issues that affect the plants performance. Liaise with Technical team / H&S Coordinator and Shift Managers to fix issues and generate improvements.
- Working with peers to implement seamless shift handovers, driving common standards and procedures so that the business operates efficiently 24 hours per day.
- Ensuring team members are actively engaging with company documentation i.e. job packs, and real time production monitoring systems are up to date and accurate.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to projects both within the shift and across shifts and departments.
- Taking pride in working with your team and other teams to deliver a more efficient, safe and clean working environment.
- Assist the Shift Process Engineer when required.
- Training and development of team including the upkeep of skills matrix per shift.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

- Numerate and literate to minimum O Level / GCSE “C” or “4”
- Industry recognised qualification in Polymer Processing Level 2.
- Overhead Crane License
- Fluent English
- Industry recognised qualification in Polymer Processing Level 3 or above.
- Qualified to ILM Level 3 (or equivalent) (Desirable)
- ILM Team Leader or equivalent (Desirable)

Experience:

- 3 years Setting experience in Injection Moulding Process, including standardisation, scrap reduction and cycle time optimisation.
- Experience of leading a team
- Setting experience in high volume (preferably automotive) manufacturing environment. (Desirable)

Business/Functional Skills:

- Computer literate including MS Office
- Familiar with Krauss Maffei, Demag, Nissei, Engel & Negri Bossi IMM Machines, as well as ATM, Sepro, and Wittmann Robotics. (Desirable)
