Academics Ltd is recruiting a BSL Specialist
The role involves working closely with the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provision to provide support for children with hearing impairments in classrooms.
We are looking for an experienced individual qualified in British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or 3. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the British education system and experience working with children with SEND.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide BSL support to children in classrooms
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to develop strategies for supporting students with hearing impairments
- Contribute to the development of BSL resources and materials for the school
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- BSL Level 2 or 3 qualification
- Experience working with children with SEND
