**About the Role:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Materials Laboratory Technician to join our Regional Scotland team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with us on delivering materials engineering services and supporting project teams across Scotland.

As a Senior Materials Laboratory Technician, you will play a key role in planning and undertaking inspection and testing on site and in the laboratory. You will identify and report areas of risk and opportunity, establish and maintain safe methods of work for the materials team, and comply with the site quality system for the materials testing laboratory.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory and a strong understanding of construction materials and specifications. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support the management and delivery of materials engineering services
  • Plan and undertake inspection and testing on site and in the laboratory
  • Identify and report areas of risk and opportunity
  • Maintain safe methods of work for the materials team
  • Comply with the site quality system for the materials testing laboratory

**What We Offer:**

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

**Requirements:**

  • Previous experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory
  • A strong understanding of construction materials and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid CSCS card and full driving licence
