This role involves joining our cardiac rhythm management team at NHS Highland, providing complex device implantation and follow-up services, including travel to remote areas of the Highlands.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for delivering cardiac diagnostic tests, such as PCI, ETT, tilt table testing, and ambulatory monitoring. They will also lead a physiologist-led loop recorder implant service, participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 access to the catheter laboratory, and mentor junior team members.
Requirements- A 1st or 2nd class honours degree in Clinical Physiology / Science or relevant scientific subject.
- A higher degree (PhD or MSc) in an appropriate scientific discipline or significant equivalent experience through service delivery within the NHS.
- Registration with the Health Professionals Council (HPC) or Academy for Health Care Scientists (AHCS).
- A postgraduate professional qualification in cardiac devices (e.g., BHRS / IBHRE / EHRA).
