Research Associate in Algebraic Geometry

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at Imperial College London, working closely with Dr Soheyla Feyzbakhsh and the algebraic geometry group. The successful candidate will contribute to the Royal Society University Research Fellowship on ''Geometric Applications of Stability Conditions on Triangulated Categories.'

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with expertise in derived categories, Bridgeland stability conditions, Brill-Noether theory, K3 surfaces, Fano varieties, Donaldson-Thomas theory, and enumerative invariants in string theory. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct original research and produce published research papers
  • Identify, develop, and implement new concepts, techniques, and methods
  • Organize own work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques in algebraic geometry
