We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Planning & Transportation, Road Safety Team as a Safer Travel Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to making Devon's roads safer for everyone.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in delivering a wide range of education, training, engineering, and behavioral change interventions to reduce road casualties.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and external partners, including the Police and other Vision Zero South West road safety partners, to develop and implement effective road safety strategies.
  • Contribute to the investigation and prevention of road traffic collisions, utilizing knowledge and expertise to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver safe systems approaches to road casualty reduction, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation.

**Requirements**

  • A full driving license is required.
