About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Head of Server Engineering to join our team at Pixel Toys. As a key member of our technical leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the server-side architecture, development, and maintenance of our mobile game projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and guide server engineering efforts, making key technical decisions and leading teams in developing high-performance, scalable server systems.
  • Develop and implement robust server solutions that perform well in live game environments.
  • Collaborate with other technical leads to create seamless integration between server, client, and web components.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies and techniques to enhance the scalability, security, and efficiency of our server architecture.
  • Oversee server stability and manage continuous integration and deployment (CICD) pipelines to ensure a smooth player experience.
  • Mentor junior engineers, help identify talent needs, and contribute to building a strong, high-performing team.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in server-side development and leadership.
  • Proven track record of delivering robust server solutions in live game environments.
  • Expertise in server technologies, including cloud platforms and services.
  • Familiarity with backend frameworks and the ability to build secure, scalable systems.
  • Strong understanding of scalability and performance, particularly in applying techniques for load testing and optimizing server performance for high-traffic environments.
  • Live operations expertise, including continuous deployment pipelines and live monitoring platforms.
