Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out specialized radiographic imaging procedures, including CT and MRI scans, to a high standard and in a professional manner.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of imaging services.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of imaging protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality images are produced.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of imaging services.
  • Participate in the induction and training of new staff, assistant practitioners, and student radiographers.
  • Supervise and assist radiographers and medical staff training in specialist areas.
  • Undertake formalized assessments of staff training in the specialized area to ensure staff competency.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Radiography or equivalent.
  • State Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • 2 years' experience in cross-sectional radiography, including CT and MRI.
  • High standards of technical skills and enthusiasm for training students.
  • Able to demonstrate a responsible attitude to teamwork and a progressive attitude with evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Out-of-hours work experience and IT skills.
  • Able to plan and prioritize workloads and competent in the use and care of a range of X-ray equipment.
