Overview

Save the Children Australia is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for our employees and client groups. As a Senior Climate Change MEAL Adviser, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our mission to create lasting change for children everywhere.

This is a full-time, max term role that requires the successful candidate to work predominantly from home with our globally based, remote team. You will be responsible for leading the development of a MEAL strategy and framework for SCA's Climate Change portfolio and providing guidance and quality assurance to project teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based theories of change, results frameworks, monitoring and evaluation plans and measurement tools.

About the Team

Our globally based Climate Change team is passionate about creating lasting change for children everywhere. We work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure MEAL components are integrated into programme design and delivery.

About You

  • You have a degree in a relevant subject, e.g., Environmental Science, Social Sciences, International Development, Social Research, Data, Policy, etc.
  • You have extensive experience designing and implementing contextualised MEAL approaches, standards, tools, guidelines etc., with accountability and participation.
  • You have strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise and process information on development and climate change issues.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills, including engaging presentation skills and the ability to synthesise complex information.
