Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including pension scheme, life insurance, and 25 days annual leave.

The main duties of the Traffic Signals Engineer include:

  • Providing technical services for the design, installation, and maintenance of traffic signal systems.
  • Working with developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure traffic signal projects are completed to the required specifications.
  • Accurately recording technical details of traffic signal schemes, including drawing references and technical reports, using appropriate software.
  • Liaising with legal teams to complete necessary agreements under the relevant legislation for traffic signal installations.
  • Keeping up to date with policy, legislation, national guidance, health and safety requirements, and technical specifications to ensure correct application by the team.
  • Assisting in the coordination and implementation of traffic signal improvement schemes and updates.
