Job Summary

We are seeking a Policy Manager to join our team in Kings Hill, Kent, UK. The successful candidate will report directly into the Group Legal & Governance Executive to support, strengthen, and develop policies and procedures across the Westfalia Group, ensuring compliance with external regulations and legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Development and Compliance
    • Ensure that policies and procedures are compliant with legislation, regulation, and best practice.
    • Work with key stakeholders to author, develop, and review policies and procedures.
  • Policy Management
    • Maintain version control of policies and procedures, including the coordination and production of documentation.
    • Manage the Policy framework, portal, and policy register, including tracking the review and updating of policies and procedures.
  • Communication and Training
    • Work with the Internal Communication Team to ensure timely translation and publication of documents.
    • Liaise with the People and Culture department to identify the training and implementation of policies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Undertake compliance checks for adherence to policies in conjunction with the Internal Audit team.
    • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and update policies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience of policies, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Experience of drafting, reviewing policies, and working with stakeholders to develop policies.
  • Experience of horizon scanning.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, working with senior leadership and executive leadership levels.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in legal research and policy writing.
